JULY
2008 NEWSLETTER – I am happy to see the rain has slowed
down and allowed us to have some shows. It’s been really nice
seeing all of you and it’s good to see everyone ready to compete.
I do want to thank everyone who has helped at the shows. I really
appreciate it.
RULE
CHANGES: I recently received the following information
from the head office. Effective immediately, there will be no
non-member fees at NBHA events. A review of the show results submitted
indicated this was of minimal benefit to the districts, as few
non-members were paying the fee. However, anyone wanting to attend
the State Championships or run for district awards will need to
be a member of the NBHA. Also, effective this year, members may
change districts at any time during the year. Previously, members
were not allowed to change districts in the last 90 days of the
competition year.
T-SHIRTS
– I have five pink shirts left. Sizes XL and XXL. I will have
them at the Erie race if anyone is interested,
POLES:
It was brought to my attention that we need to clarify our pole
rules. After some review, we will use some of the NBHA rules:
must keep forward motion, must not break pattern, but we will
add 5 seconds for every pole down.
JULY
BIRTHDAY WISHES: Birthday wishes go out to Dani Bagshaw,
Janet Blackledge, Amy Gorman, Cindy Jensen, and Carol Swiger.

CO-SANCTIONING
– I have had several members come to me asking about co-sanctioning
with ABRA and BBR. I am willing to do this but I don’t want any
fees coming out of the KS02 awards account. I would also like
for someone to do the paperwork. If we can put our heads together
and come up with a solution for the $$ and a person to keep the
paperwork for those shows, I would be willing to co-sanction.
If anyone has ideas let me know and we can talk about it.
RAINOUTS
– We have two shows to reschedule due to the rain. I will be scheduling
those in November but will wait closer to time. I would like to
see what arena’s are be available.
PRAYER
REQUEST – Debby Daniels’ son was in a serious accident
and is in Wichita in the hospital. Our thoughts and prayers go
out to them.
