I would like to send out our deepest sympathies to the families of Gennifer
McDonald and Peg Birney, who were killed in a wreck on their way to the
State Championships. Our prayers go out to them!
June 2009 Newsletter:
The State Championships treated KS02 well. Congratulations to Jessica
Westervelt on her Youth 2D State Championship win and to all our members
who placed. The match race brought in $33 and our silent auction brought in
$176 to KS02. There were only 6 members who participated but we made a
respectable amount on those items. Thanks go out to those who participated.
Birthday’s- Happy Birthday wishes go out to Debra Burton and Bridget
McGuire. Happy Birthday and many more!
Shows–I have rescheduled all of our rain out shows. Please pay close
attention to the schedule and mark your calendars. I would also like to bring
attention to the co-sanctioned show with OK02. Since they are the hosting
district, we will go with their entry fee amounts. We will have a Pee Wee class
and run it accordingly but the OK02 district Pee Wee class is allowed to carry
their times over. KS02 will stay with our original method (Pee Wee class only –
with no entrants allowed to participate in NBHA classes). Their classes are
Exhibitions are $4, Pee Wee - $5, Youth 4D -$17, Senior 3D - $25, Open 4D -
$25. We will keep our traditional point system as usual. There will be $200
added money to the Open. Exhibitions will start at 9:00 a.m. with the Jackpot
starting at 12:00. OK02 will have a concession stand available. If you have any
questions please call me @ 620/354-6444.
Fundraiser–I will be passing out the Fireworks Fundraiser packets at the
June 6 show @ Parsons and begin selling. If you are unable to be at this show
and want to participate, please call me andI will get a packet to you. Orders
will be collected at the June 20 show @ Irelands and delivered at the June 27
show @ Rocking C Arena. All money must be collected when you make a sale.
I will need everyone that sells to call Rebecca @ 620/674-3498on June 16 with
a rough estimate of how much they have sold. Our fireworks distributor needs
partial calculation. Then on June 20thwe will give them the final count and
money. Once we turn in this order we can’t change what has been ordered.
Everything is final. This should be a good fundraiser and something that will
interest a lot of people.
