*11/21 Show at Parsons is a SINGLE show, sorry for any confusion*

October 2009 Newsletter

Well, mother nature isn’t playing fair and is truly making it hard for us to get our shows done. I hope that everyone will bear with me and understand that I have to make some adjustments to our schedule that may not be to everyone’s liking. We are running out of time and have to get our shows done. I have looked at our Pot of Gold series and as stated in the flyer we would guarantee a specific payout IF there were a set amount of nominations. We did not get the amount of nominees that were specified and so we will do our last two Pot of Gold races as points only on October 24 and will payout what is currently in the pot. We will not charge an entry fee for the remaining Pot of Gold races. In order to get our sanctioned shows completed the Oct. 24 show is going to be a double SANCTIONED show. KS02will charge an entry fee if you wish to be counted for NBHA points. I apologize but feel that this is the best option for us.

SCHEDULE–Please take a look at the schedule and make the adjustments on your calendar. I know it is hard to keep up with all of the changes and hopefully this will be the end of them.

BIRTHDAY WISHES–Happy Birthday wishes go out to Kylie Bedene, Carlee Campbell, Cheyanna Colborn, Connie Elsworth, Valla Leck, Glendolyn Neely, Valerie Snider, Kim Umbarger, and Jamie West. Happy Birthday and many more!

REQUIREMENTS–Make sure you have checked your requirements for year end awards. I wouldn’t want anyone to be left out. If you have any questions about your requirements please ask.

KS02 FUNDRAISER RACE -I want to remind everyone about our fundraiser race at Yates Center. It is Oct. 17 with $300 added thanks to Melanie McGee and her family. She and Brett have been working hard to get us some raffle items also. Thanks to both of you for your hard work. Theyhave also asked if anyone would be interested in helping at theconcession stand at the race. If several of us could take turns helping out that would be great. Please let me know if you’re interested or call the McGee’sat 620/625-2425. Check out the attached flyer and pass the word.

ENCHILADA FUNDRAISER–I want to thank everyone who sold enchilada’s. We had a total of 9 people who sold. With the expenses of ingredients, picking up supplies, and rental for the building to make them, we came up with a 52% profit. Our total profit was $472.23. Special thanks go out to Sara Sutton, Melanie & Brett McGee, and Jesse & Megan Kichler for helping me make the enchiladas. Your help was greatly appreciated!

FINAL FUNDRAISER–We will have one last fundraiser. We will be selling our fall foods and will pass out the forms at the October 24 show. We will turn in all orders on Nov 7 with delivery being Nov. 21 at the final show. Be sure to bring your coolers that day. If you aren’t able to pick up your order please make arrangements for someone to get them. I am limited on freezer space.AWARDS–If anyone is interested in helping me find award sponsors please let me know. I have a couple of sponsor’s interested in donating items for the raffle table. If anyone would like to help me find some more that would be great. Give me a call!I hope to see you all soon and pray for the rain to spare us for a while. If you have any questions please give me a call. 620/354-6444
